I had been using my Nvidia Shield Controller on my laptop, which was working perfectly fine for a while. After a few days, however, it stopped working. The trackpad on it was fine, and I could use it to move the cursor and click, but all of the buttons were not functioning. After a bit of research, I found that I had to open device manager, disable the HID-compliant game controller, restart my system, enable it again, and all would be back to normal. I did this, which allowed me to use my controller properly again, but when I stopped using my laptop and switched it off, and later back on again, my controller had stopped working again so I had to restart my computer another time. I now have to do this every time I want to use the controller, which is very frustrating as it takes a long time to open device manager, then restart my laptop. All of my drivers are up to date. I would like a permanent fix for this; not something that requires me to restart my computer every time.

Hello, I am using an Nvidia Shield controller, wired, but ingame it's not giving me any input. It works fine in WD1 or any other game, it's only in WD2 that it's not working and I'm not sure why. I know it technically isn't supported officially, as only Xbox and PS4 controllers are, however I find it a bit weird that this one wouldn't work since nvidia is partnering with ubisoft to give the game away.
To be specific, it's the newer Shield controller that comes with the tablet, as seen here, that is just a controller, not the older one with a screen where games are streamed to the screen. The newer one comes with the Nvidia Tablet, but I bought it without the tablet, so I am not trying to stream the game to a shield, but just trying to get the controller input to work ingame.
